PURPOSE:
This course is intended for BEGINNERS with little or no experience, who wish to learn to safely handle and operate a semi-automatic pistol. A must for responsible NJ gun owners and can be used as a certification for those applying for a NJ CCW.
The successful candidate will receive a Beginner Pistol Class Completion Certificate.
This class is offered in English, Spanish and for Women only.
AREAS OF FOCUS:
• Firearm safety
• Identification of parts of pistols and their proper operation
• Grip and stance fundamentals;
• Proper sight alignment and sight picture
• Ammunition malfunctions and clearing them
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: (bring your own or rent one of our bundles)
• Pistol (semi-automatic).
• 50 rds of ammunition.
• Eye and Ear protection.
TUITION:
$150.00 per individual student
$ 75.00 equipment bundle if needed (pistol, 50 rounds of ammo, eye and ear protection, targets)
COURSE LENGTH:
3.5 hours (2.5 hrs in classroom, 1 hr in range, includes shooting qualification)
On class day, student must arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork and to select firearm, if renting ours.
